Walk for a good cause at Richstone Family’s Center’s annual fundraiser.
On April 28th, the Richstone Family Center will hold its 31st Annual Pier-to-Pier Walk-a-Thon fundraiser. The event will be held in Los Angeles’s South Bay Community. The walk will begin at the Manhattan Beach Pier where participants will walk to the Hermosa Beach Pier and back. The walk will cover about 3.4 miles and is not considered difficult.
The proceeds from this event will benefit the Richstone Family Center, one of the most progressive centers for the treatment and prevention of child abuse in Los Angeles. The funds raised will support Richstone’s goals of protecting children through the creation of healthy and stable families and through community outreach and education.
Whether you intend to walk as an individual or as part of a team, everyone is welcome to participate. The pathway is stroller friendly, so this is a fantastic family event as well. Even furry friends are welcome to participate in the walk and the Pet Parade!
Check-in for the walk begins at 7:30 am, with the Pet Parade scheduled to begin at 7:45 am. From there, the event’s opening ceremony, which will congratulate the top fundraising teams and best dressed individuals and pets, will start at 8:00 am. The walk is scheduled to begin at 8:30 am.
Pre-registration for the event is $30 and includes a free t-shirt while supplies last. On the day of the walk, registration will be $35. Children aged 3 and under do not need to be registered to participate in the event. If you are interested in participating, you can register for the walk here.
