Let’s work together to keep our beaches beautiful at the last Nothin’ But Sand event of the year.
On November 18th from 10:00 am-12:00 pm, Heal the Bay will host its final Nothin’ But Sand beach cleanup event of 2017. Nothin’ But Sand is a free event and is a fantastic opportunity to earn service hours or to simply work to preserve the beaches that we love so much. Please note that while individual registration is not necessary, group leaders should register for their entire group. Also, it’s important to know that every participant requires a signed waiver form. Volunteers under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult and volunteers under the age of 18 must have their waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian.
Nothin’ But Sand is a zero-waste event and encourages volunteers to bring their own clean-up materials and reusable water bottles. Bags, gardening gloves, water, and Kind brand snacks will be provided to volunteers while supplies last. Also, please be aware that the event requires you to be outdoors for 2-3 hours, so please plan accordingly. Sunglasses, hats, and sunblock are all strongly recommended. Additionally, you might want to bring a sweatshirt in case it gets chilly.
If you need service hour forms, they will be signed by the beach captain at the end of the cleanup. We cannot verify hours after the event is over. Nothin’ But Sand is held rain or shine, and is only cancelled in the event of lighting or thunderstorms.
