To make this peppermint crunch puppy chow, you’ll need:
- 10 ounces of melting white chocolate
- 5 cups of Rice Chex cereal
- 1 cup of crushed candy canes
- 1 cup of confectioners’ sugar
Follow the directions on the package of your white cholate to melt it. As it melts, dump the cereal into a large mixing bowl. Pour the melted white chocolate into the bowl and gently stir until all of the cereal is coated with it. Before the chocolate can cool, add in the crushed candy canes and gently stir so each piece of cereal gets some candy cane chunks on it.
Grab a large zip-top plastic bag. Pour the confectioners’ sugar into it, followed by the coated cereal. Seal your bag and shake gently under the sugar covers the cereal. You shouldn’t have much sugar left in the bottom of the bag, but you can discard what’s left over.
You can store this peppermint crunch puppy chow at room temperature for up to two weeks… but we bet it will all get eaten long before that!
